About Dairy Farm

Dear Dairy Experts,

I’m Muru (QA engr) from Malaysia; I would like to start a dairy farm with 10cows initially in my hometown Mannargudi after a while when I will return back after 4 months.

Kindly advise us as below,
Þ Which type cows suitable for my location climates. (Thiruvarur Dist)
Þ Also I needed milk output each cow 20ltrs/Day.
Þ Place of purchase cows
Þ Feed rate (dry & green) for each cow for 20trs/day

I will have training with expert Dairy farmers once come back to India. However I would have idea on above points. Please help us.

Hi

You can buy exotic cow varieties like HF and Jersey. Please get a training on dairy farming before you actually start one farm yourself. Trainings are provided at NDRI, IIHR.
